Otis Beach

Wow!
We loved this house. Great location, wonderful interior and exterior spaces. We loved the beachfront deck and kayaking in the creek. The house is comfortable, well equipped and has a ton of character!

Exactly What I Hoped It Would Be
This home was perfect for us and we have rebooked for next year. This is a true historic beach cottage with charm and ambiance, yet plenty of modern comfort. Amazing location, right on the beach, and across the street from the marsh. It's truly wonderful to walk out your front door and down onto the beach. There's also a very large screened porch facing the ocean, with plenty of rocking chairs. If you're looking for fancy, this isn't it, but it is a very special place. The beds were super comfortable (which is very important to us) and everything worked perfectly - the TV, heat, hot water, plumbing stuff, etc. All the rooms were super spacious and inviting. Plenty of space to spread out and enjoy a variety of activities. Lots of natural light. Gorgeous property (shared by two other houses, including the owners'), well maintained, safe and quiet, with wonderful trees. The owner, Bill, was extremely welcoming, kind and helpful. This property has been in his family for 70 years. Thanks for everything Bill! Remember: you DO have to bring your own linens, which means sheets, pillowcases, towels, washcloths, kitchen towels, etc. I would also recommend bringing dish soap, sponges, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, napkins, garbage bags, and any special supplies you use for cooking. There are plenty of dishes, pots and pans already at the house, and there's salt and pepper, but that's it. There are pillows, but it wouldn't hurt to bring your own. If you're coming in the chilly months, bring slippers and extra blankets or throws. Then just relax and enjoy. You'll love it!

Old world charm
This house is very comfortable and filled with lots of charm. The moment you turn in the drive it's tucked away feel in the old trees will set you back in time. This house has it all . Windows from the living room to always capture the ocean, fishing just across the street . The porch is perfect for family gathering and enjoying the day . Beach lovers will love the deck with chairs or hammock . 2 bedrooms were off the main house so it was great for alittle separate privacy . The best was I was able to bring my dog . This is a wonderful house that I hope I will be able to vacation in again. Best house at Pawleys ! Has the old time feel !
