We have several properties that are dog friendly. All dog friendly properties are indicated in the brochure and on the website by a paw print. On our website, if a property is dog friendly it will be reflected in the "Property Highlights" section of the specific property. Cats and other animals are not allowed. Dog Friendly homes are the only properties where dogs are allowed. All dog friendly properties are charged a non-refundable fee which will vary by property. Please Note: The non-refundable dog fee is charged by the owner for allowing a dog at the property and does not cover any damages or additional cleaning charges. Vacationer agrees to adhere to the dog policies set forth by the owner and Pawleys Island Realty Company, LLC. Vacationer accepts responsibility and agrees to replace or pay for any loss, breakage or damage caused by their dog(s) as well as additional cleaning if required.  Vacationers are responsible to clean up after their dog(s) in the property, on the premises, and on the beach areas.

No, there are no lifeguards on Pawleys Island. Please swim at your own risk. Please be aware of Rip Tides and tide times. Please review the "Important Information and Safety Tips" page for additional information.

Check-in time is at 4:00pm and check-out time is 10:00am. We are unable to guarantee an early check-in; however, if your property is ready prior to the check-in time of 4:00pm, we will notify you accordingly. Please make sure that the mobile phone number and email on your reservation is updated for you to receive any updates we may text or email. We do recommend that you do not go to the property prior to 4:00pm, unless notified, as this will delay your check-in time. We do not offer a late checkout as our cleaning staff will be at the property at 10:00am to walkthrough the property.

Yes, South Carolina State Law mandates each person must have a fishing license. You can obtain a fishing license at either Pawleys Island Supplies (located in our parking lot near Ocean Hwy) or Ace Hardware.

If you have an emergency that cannot wait until the next business day, we have an emergency phone that a member of our staff manages after-hours. The emergency number is 843-455-1878. This service is for emergencies only which include but may not be limited to an appliance issue that cannot wait until the next business day, HVAC issues, fire or water issues, etc. Please note that internet and cable issues are not considered an emergency.

All properties, unless otherwise indicated on the property page, do not come with linens or towels. We do have two options for linens and towels. We have the "Island Club Package" in which the linens and towels are brought to the property and the beds are made, along with a gift bag for when you arrive. We also have a "Linen Package" drop-off service, which includes the linens and towels for the property delivered in a bag at the property on the arrival day. Please ask us for more information and pricing. Either package needs to be ordered and paid in full no later than 7 days before your arrival date.

Pawleys Island is a little over four miles long and about a quarter mile wide.

Permits are required for all bonfires on the beach which can be obtained from Town Hall. Fireworks are not permitted on Pawleys Island.

Dogs are allowed on Pawleys Island beach year round; however, owners must have a leash in hand, have their dog under voice control and pick up after them. From May 1st through September 30th between 8:00am and 8:00pm, dogs must be on a leash and under complete control, even in the water.

One roll of toilet paper and a bar of hand soap will be provided in each bathroom. One paper towel roll and a small dish soup will also be provided for the kitchen. All other products are the responsibility of the vacationer to bring and/or purchase for their stay.

Yes, an advanced deposit is required to reserve your same property for your week(s) in the following year. By making an advanced reservation before you check-out, you can be first in line to reserve the property you occupy this year for the same corresponding week(s) next year. If you do not reserve the same property before your departure date, then the property will be opened up for a first come first serve basis. Please note that there are rare times when your next year's week(s) may have been booked in advanced by the owner. If this happens, you may contact our office on the Monday after the week passes this year, to see what other properties will be available next year for your week(s).

On all advanced reservations, your initial payment will be due the second Tuesday of January of the year you are arriving. We cannot offer an extension for the due date of the initial payment. The final payment will be due 30 days prior to your arrival date and this due date cannot be extended. In the event that you book a reservation, and it is 30 days or less to your arrival date, the payment in full is required when the reservation is booked.

Since Pawleys Island is a non-commercial island, all grocery stores and shops are on the mainland. You will find Publix, Food Lion, Lowes Food, and Fresh Market all within a few miles of each other. You will also find close by, the Hammock Shops and the Island Shops

Our office hours are Monday through Saturday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, except for Saturdays in the summer, we are open until 6:00pm. We are closed on Sundays. For all vacationers that are unable to arrive prior to our office closing, if the rental property is keyed, we will have your check-in packet on the wire rack outside on our office front porch. Your check-in packet will contain your keys, a map and any information that you may need for the property. If your rental property is keyless, you will receive your keyless code within 48 hours to arrival.

The speed limit on Pawleys Island is 25ph. This is strictly enforced. Also, if you park on the side of the road, all vehicle tires must be off the road otherwise you will be ticketed. To obtain more information regarding the policies of the Island, you can go to: Town of Pawleys Island website.
